Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before routing your first attachment.

Does it run when I’m offline?

Sync runs on InboxRouter infrastructure after you connect accounts. Your laptop does not need to stay online.

Is it safe? What permissions do you request?

InboxRouter requests only the mailbox and storage scopes required to run your rules. Permissions stay minimal and purpose-specific.

Does it duplicate files?

The routing engine is idempotent and designed to prevent duplicate exports across repeated sync runs.

Can I use regex?

Yes. Rule conditions support regex in advanced mode, alongside contains, equals, and starts with.

What about Dropbox or OneDrive?

InboxRouter is storage-agnostic by design. The first storage connector is available now, and additional connectors are on the roadmap.

Can I exclude specific senders?

Today you can build deterministic inclusion rules. Exclusion-style conditions are planned as rule logic expands.
